Just stay calm. The test itself isnt that hard, normally the only thing that can get in your way is your own panic. The worst thing that happened to me during my driving test is that I saw an Enzo and wasnt allowed to freak out over it.

Get a car that works in reverse gear for your test. I almost failed because I had a car that could barely work in reverse. It would just go for two seconds, then stall. lol.

Haha... I'm in Florida! Turning 16 tomorrow but I waited a few days to get my permit (I may have not passed the written test the first time)

I'm glad I'll be taking in a 13 Civic... if something is broken, I will be sad, disappointed, and mad.

Side note: My uncle failed his road test the first time because he backed out of the space too quickly (he mashed the gas instead of the brake)

Lol watch out for a huge bugs bunny with a saw.

If you can tell the instructor is looking at you, make a point of looking at all of your mirrors, I got dinged for that (I swear I looked at my mirrors every time he didn't look at me).

Another thing I didn't practice before going was stopping close to a line on the pavement, it takes some familiarization with the car to know how far to pull up to a line that you can't see anymore once you get close (I don't know if this is part of the test in FL).

I failed the first one because I raced a riced out CRX from a red light in the loaner camry hahah I couldnt help my 15 year old self.

I actually forgot about that! We have to do something with pulling up close to a curb. We get this fun emergency braking one though! You have to mash the gas, get up to 25 MPH, and slam on the brakes.. How it is a test I don't know, but it is Florida

Make sure when you make a turn, you go into the nearest lane. You will get automatic fail if you go to the outside lane from a right hand turn.

I failed my driver's test 5 times. I believe it is because I argued with the guy on the first test and on the 6th try I had a different test giver.

I came up to a railroad crossing that they had torn up the tracks next to. There was heavy machinery all over the tracks. There was no way a train was going to come through. The red lights were flashing and I did not stop. The guy was pissed at me and got more pissed when I tried to explain myself.

Yeah that one isnt on the written test so most people go into the road test not knowing that law. Like I did. Just drive slower than usual 3 mph lower than speed limit and check blind spots after using your mirrors. After stopping at stop sign, look both ways twice before you set off. Make sure the dude sees your neck turn both ways twice. Dont just use ur eyeballs.

It sucks for me, because driving a newer Civic, I get a huge digital speedo so he can easily see my speed.. I'm not an asshole speedy driver, but I find it impossible to go the actual posted limit.. mainly because if I do, I just get passed and beeped at.

On new, modern cars, going the speed limit is impossible. First of all, it's not fuel efficient. Cars like the civic will usually cruise most efficiently at around 32 mph city. Secondly, there is so little wind noise that 25 mph seems like youre not even moving.

I think you may have something there... and its true, I get better mileage (according to the instant gauge) going around 35 then I do at 30... and it is quite quiet for a cheaper car
